Magpul Ronin 1125R

Although Buell doesn’t build bikes any more, their 1125R half-faired superbike remains a machine with great tuning potential for custom builders and we’ve found a good one after Harley Davidson decided to kill the Buell brand just last year. The Magpul Ronin 1125R, is an experimental bike with some pretty amazing experimental design.

I think the photos speak for themselves on this one. Because, little information is available right now on this project and we also hear we can’t really hope to expect a production version as this is pretty much just a demonstration of innovative design in the custom motorcycle industry.

Vyrus 987 C3 4V

Vyrus has just released the official picture of their 987 C3 4V and we’re still having troubles looking at it as a real production motorcycle, not just because it looks totally off the patterns, but because we have to be aware of the fact that this is an 184hp sportsbike with hub-center steering and a carbon bodywork.

Toyota FT-86...TRD?

Hey guys, a Toyota post that doesn't involve a recall. Instead, we've got a surprising report about ToMoCo's plans to start a new, in-house performance division dubbed "Gs" sometime in 2010. Unlike the forthcoming Volkswagen R line, BMW's M division or Mercedes-Benz' AMG unit, the Gs line would be a joint collaboration between Modelista – which has been developing and supplying exterior components to the automaker – and TRD, which will handle engine, suspension and brake development with the help of Gazoo, the firm that helped to create the hybrid Mk. III MR2 for TAS.

1

G's will focus more on high-end components developed for the street and will likely sold as either a complete model (think Toyota FT-86 Gs) or available as separate components, similar to the Lexus F Sport line. Whether these components or full models will make it Stateside remains to be unknown, but when the FT-86 makes it to U.S. shores, we'd suspect Toyota – or more likely Scion – will offer similar equipment.

Gemballa Enzo, Dubai Style

This black and white monster you see above was created for Gemballa's Middle East distributors, the Illyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, using Mustafa's personal Enzo as the project. The roof scoop, jet-thruster-surrounds for the exhaust, and black rims are Gemballa hallmarks, on top of which the nose has been slightly sculpted and the hood sports a central scoop.

1

The widebody setup has given Gemballa room to add new features, like the vents up front and behind the wheels, the gills on the fenders, and the functional rear wing. Other Enzo features, like the side vents, have merely been feathered. The inside is a rather comparative look, black and quilted red leather, trimmed in red stitching and piping. We don't know anything else about the car at the moment, seems the proud owners are holding back until it's officially rolled out to the Dubai public.

Jaguar XE Roadster

1

As announced previously by Jaguar, the brand is preparing to reveal a successor for the E-Type. Called XE, the new model will be a competitor for models like Mercedes SLK and the Porsche Boxster, and will make its official debut in 2010 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The German magazine AutoBild reports that the XE Roadster will "continue the new design line with a fierce look and a distinctive front grille." The XE will be built on an all-new aluminum platform and will be powered by a V8 with 385hp in naturally aspired version and 510 hp in the supercharged version.

2010 Tesla Roadster Sport First Drive

Our day spent driving the 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport can pretty much be summed up in just two words: hole shot. The standard Tesla Roadster had already established its credentials with us while in flowing city and suburban traffic, but the new Sport version turns up the amp knob to 11, so you can get the hole shot at stoplights and out-accelerate all those BMWs and Camaros.
1
In fact, just go ahead and add the 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport to your list of silent killers, only with an asterisk clarifying that you mean it in every positive sense. The motor in the Sport model is essentially the same as that in the Roadster, only the stator coils that interact with the 14,000-rpm rotor are hand-wound more tightly. The result is greater torque produced through less electrical resistance, plus greater kilowatt hours per amp.
1
And all of this comes in addition to the necessary reprogrammed "firmware" of the power electronics module (PEM), which is the brains of the operation. All this requires just a smidge more energy from the battery to give you the quicker reaction from the go pedal that you desire. In the end, the total distance promised from a complete charge in the optimally efficient Range mode drops from 244 miles in the base model Tesla Roadster to 235 miles in the 2010 Tesla Roadster Sport...click here for more. World's Fastest Aston Martin

The Aston Martin One-77, Britain's most expensive car ever, is now one of its fastest too. If not for the classic supercar the McLaren F1 and its 241 mph top end, the One-77 would be the fastest production car in the history of Britain. As of now, a One-77 has just crested 220 mph. Can the latest and no question greatest from Aston Martin go even faster?

Probably, as AM was quick to point out, that the 220 mph velocity was achieved in "dry, but windy conditions."Don’t forget the amount of power this 7.3-liter V12 beastie makes, between 700 and 740 horsepower, and around 553 lb-ft of torque. For the sake of national pride, the McLaren F1 produced "just" 627 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Obviously, the 2,514 pound F1 is much lighter than the 3,308 pound One-77, however, which actually makes 220 mph run all the more impressive.

Motorcycle Goggles Of The Future

Automakers all over the world have experimented with heads-up displays that show such vital information as your speed and navigation directions right on the windshield in front of the driver. Now, a company called Recon Instruments is extending similar technology to the two-wheeled side of things with a new system that flashes the same kind of information right on a pair of goggles. The goggles were originally designed for snowmobile applications, but Recon envisions its technology being used in all kinds of sports, from motorcycle touring to scuba diving. Recon expects to begin shipping its goggles in the fall of 2010 at a range between $350 and $450, and is now accepting preorders.

The GT-R, Can It Get Any Better?

Even those Nissan’s first supercar, the GT-R, has only been on the market for 2 years the Japanese automaker is already thinking about the next generation of their world class supercar. Some of their improvements might just surprise us; we already know that the high end arm of Nissan/Infiniti has been planning on incorporating high performance hybrid modules into their future luxury lineup ever since the Essence started showing up at auto shows and websites around the world.

Also the Japanese automotive magazine Best Car stated; this type of gas/electric power train will also make its way into the new Nissan GT-R. According to the journal, the next GT-R will be powered by a hybrid drivetrain that will combine a 440 HP gas burning internal combustion engine along with a 160 HP electric motor. This means that the next Godzilla will have 600 horsepower under the hood. Hopefully they will also incorporate some of the Essence style cues like the image above, making it one of the world’s most attractive and affordable supercars ever!

The Gallardo That Makes Veyrons Cry...

Built by the one and only Underground Racing in Charlotte, NC this Lamborghini Gallardo called the “TTG” is unlike any Gallardo you’ve ever seen. That’s because this monster is cradling a 1500 horsepower engine. Boom.

After completing the modifications, Underground Racing gave Jonah, the owner of the car, the keys to so he could give his new amped up Lambo a ride. Here’s a video of the “TTG” undergoing the some of the modifications.
